From the later Victorian era, a very nice presentable black straw bonnet with lace trimming accented with beadwork. The hat dates about 1880’s. Body of the hat is a woven straw in a pretty pattern.
It is trimmed on the sides and brim with Chantilly lace and a black ribbon ruffled in a shape to resemble a flower. At the very top a cluster of tiny fabric flowers in a pink-beige color. This flower is embellished with a small amount of wired beadwork to resemble a bow.
