Another fine example of hand fillet crochet made by Mrs. Thielmann (1874 – 1972). The sweet drawstring purse was probably made in the 1920’s or 1930’s. A motif of a bird on wing worked on the front side of purse. Initials are worked on the backside, which I believe is a J.V. although not positive.
Finer thread is used for the purse in an ecru color.
