Two Victorian, early 1900’s Battenburg cloth stencils for making tape lace. One pattern , which is started, is for a neck line of a dress collar. It appears to have enough of the tape to finish the project. This collar pattern is 20″ long x 2-1/8″wide. (the lace pattern, itself) As noted: the making of the lace was started a few inches in from the end. In that regard, I suppose the length of the piece could be whatever the maker would desire, using which part of the pattern she wanted.
