Antique Colonial Candlewicking Embroidery Muslin Pillow Cover Sham Fringe Trim

A antique beautiful layover or bolster pillow sham bed topper, in a colonial candlewicking embroidery. (This is just a layover with no back). White thread on white muslin with hand applied and knotted fringe embellishment. The design is a looped scroll and flower motif decorating the center of the bolster sham. Entirely around the border are two rows of candlewicking. Mitered corners with hand made, hand applied, knotted thread fringe. The fringe is made of the same thread as the embroidery work. Dating the bed sham from the Colonial Revival era of the 1920’s – 1930’s.
