From the Edwardian era, a home sewn fashion doll jacket. Expertly made, the jacket is made of a pink with white line tiny check fabric. Embellished with a flat braid trim and pearl buttons. The construction of the jacket is a typical Edwardian style with the front opening made on a slant. The jacket has a peter pan style collar, not quite meeting at the front.
Decorative scalloping along the front opening, with the opening overlapping the opposite side. At the point of the scallop a small white pearl button adds a further accent. The bottom of the jacket is made the same. Turned back cuff on the sleeve with the same scallop /trim, but no buttons. The buttons on the front are just for show ~ no fastenings ~ the jacket just overlapped and probably pinned close.
