How often does one find this size of Victorian napkins especially with such a beautiful motif? Here’s a set of 8 Victorian damask dinner napkins ~ a fabulous find from an old Buffalo, N. Y. estate from the 1890’s – 1900’s era.
The gorgeous linen fabric is probably Irish linen with the most incredible flower design of a flowering tulip. The tulips with their foliage covers a good portion of the napkin. A border forms the remainder sides filled with a trailing daisy or similar type of flower. A large monogram of the letter M fits into one of the corners of 7 of the napkins. No monogram on the 8th one.
