A nice example of a completely home sewn bed sheet from the late Victorian Edwardian era. Made of a high quality cotton fabric, it is treadle machine stitched with a wide hem and mitered corners for the head of the bed.
The sheet is embellished with hand crochet lace trim across the top width and extending 37″ down either side to form a decorative sheet return. The 5″ wide pointed scallop crochet trim is hand stitched to the sheet fabric. Overall size is 92″ x 112″.
