This Christmas piece dates from the early 1900's. Hang Up Baby's Stocking! A Merry Christmas Victorian lithograph printed cotton stocking for hanging on the fireplace. What a delight it would have been for any little child. The graphics are wonderful, featuring Santa with bag of toys, reindeers, and sleigh, mounting the house top, on the one side.
The other side features holly, bells, a fireplace with stockings hung and a baby in a bed. At the toe of the stocking, a short ditty "Hang up the baby's stockings, be sure you don't forget, the little dimple darling, has ne'er seen Xmas yet!"
