A cute home sewn late teens or 1920’s white cotton petticoat or night gown. It is sleeveless with lace straps at the shoulders. The pretty yoke is sewn with four rows of tuckwork (each set is seven tucks), alternating with lace insets and then trimmed with a narrow lace ruffle to separate the yoke from the main body of the garment.
It is a full style falling to a wide ruffle at the hem line. Just above the ruffle there are 4 rows of small precise tuckwork. At the bottom of this ruffle, again, another six rows of tucks with a machine bobbin lace edging the hem.
