Edwardian Collar Silk Tulle Satin Hand Needlework 4 Piece Dress Embellishment

Here is a glorious cream Edwardian dress collar to be admired for study or perhaps remade into another beautiful piece, as it is “as is”.  It is doubtful the pieces were ever used as two have never had the cream silk backing attached to the back. Ah yes, with its graceful flowing lines, it speaks of the Art Nouveau time period from the late 1890’s to the early 1900’s.

The needlework is beautiful with the usage of soutache trim, or braid, forming the ground work of the four pieces.  The cream satin soutache is manipulated into lovely scrolls to form leaves and fiddleback heads of plants.
