Tucked away, a fabulous men’s waistcoat made of a cream color cord fabric front of a rayon silk, with the back of sateen fabric. This fab vest dates from the Edwardian era with is long curved collar, two slash pockets and a watch pocket.
Four shank pearl buttons fasten the lower front. The shanks are in a hidden placket area on the inside of the vest, This allows the shanks/buttons to be removed for easy cleaning. A metal buckle, on the back, fastens the fabric tabs for fitting at the waist.
The vest front is lined with the same sateen that is used for the back. A very nicely made vest with gussets on the side seams to also give a good fit. No labels as to manufacture nor any size tags.
