Vintage circ 1960’s kids saddle shoes oxfords. The Dolly Dimple children’s shoes are unworn and are Canadian manufacture. Style is a saddle or oxford shoe in a white, trimmed with a shiny blue, red and brown finish. As printed inside, the uppers are leather with other parts man made material. Size is 8-1/2. Other printed numbers are 6659 and 1002. Shoes strings are white cotton and have never been laced through the shoes.

Very nice condition. Not mint as they have been handle but very clos to minty.

Length of the shoe is 7″ long x 2-1/2″ wide at the ball of the foot. 2″ tall at the back of the heel.

A fun pair of shoes for display or historical preservation.

A lovely pair of antique ladies’ openwork mesh stockings, dating to the late Victorian or early Edwardian period, circa 1895–1910. Knitted in a fine, airy lace pattern with vertical openwork stripes, these stockings reflect the refined hosiery fashions worn with dress and evening attire at the turn of the century.

The stockings are worked in a delicate, fine-gauge yarn with a soft, supple hand. The body appears to be mercerized cotton or possibly a cotton blend with silk, while the heel and toe are reinforced in plain cotton knit for durability — a practical and commonly seen construction detail in quality hosiery of the era. The warm tan tone has mellowed naturally over time and age.

These stockings were designed to be worn with garters and do not have elastic tops, as expected for the period. The decorative open mesh suggests they were intended for fashionable wear rather than purely utilitarian use.

Condition:
Good antique condition overall. There is light, age-related storage staining and a couple of small holes, consistent with gentle wear and more than a century of age. The structure, length, and lace pattern remain intact and visually appealing, making them well suited for textile study, display, or collection.

Sometimes the joy of collecting antiques is in the hunt, as one never know what might be waiting at that next estate sale, outdoor market or any other venue collectors and dealers search. So it is, with this perfectly mint pair of Edwardian baby shoes or slippers. And no less in the original shoe box with its great graphic of a sweet baby. Such a beautiful gift to welcome a new baby.

Shoes are mint in box dating from the late teens – 1920’s. A few details of the box, itself. Figures march around the outside edge of the lid with nice graphics of the baby on the top. Box is in very nice condition except some fading of the color on the lower portion. Some tiny little edge wear but minor.

And now for the darling contents of the box. White leather booties stitched in blue thread. Satin bow adorns the front of the shoes. Blue fabric lining inside. The shoes are marked 2 2806 inside bottom. Cardboard tubing still inside to hold the side of shoes.

Measurements: 3-7/8″ long from the heel to toe. 1-3/4″ across the ball of shoe. Height of shoe at the back is 2-1/2″ tall. 5-1/2″ circumference at the top opening.

Condition: extremely nice.

A fine pair of antique cut steel shoe buckles, dating from the late Victorian to Edwardian era, and very likely of French origin. The dimensional cut steel pattern reflects the light with subtle sparkle, while the graceful curvature gives them an elegant profile.

Each buckle retains its original flap of white kid leather at the back, designed to fit over the shoe. Tiny needle holes remain at the leather edges, showing how they were once secured with strong stitching. This detail not only reflects thoughtful construction but also offers a glimpse into the craftsmanship and fashion traditions of the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

The steel surfaces show light scratches on the broader flat areas, as expected with age, but no rust was found. The condition overall is very good, making them a fine example of period footwear adornments.

A wonderful early pair of hand made wool stockings from the 1860’s to later 1800’s. Perfect to add to the decor of a primitive country farmhouse. Made of a white, rather smooth texture, the pair would fit about mid calf. Hand seamed down the back and ribbed design at the top of stocking.

At the top of each stocking, a inked laundry mark. Lucy D. …but not sure of the last name. Some oxidation from storage and one small repair near the top, on the front of one stocking,

Women Cotton Stockings Vintage 1920 Work Hosiery Heel Toeless

From the vintage years of the 1920’s, a pair of creamy white cotton or perhaps a blend of wool everyday work stockings hosiery.

The style of the pair are made without a heel or toe but do cover the top of the foot.

Length of the hosiery is 23-1/2″ long from the top to the heel area. The foot area is 5-1/2″ long, leaving the toes, heels exposed.

Condition is good. I noticed a tiny run at the top of one stockings and a couple of tiny pin dot holes.
