A perfectly charming child’s dress from the 1850’s Victorian era. The dress is embellished with beautiful fine hand stitching and whitework embroidery, so beautiful to behold. The V shaped inset at the center front of dress is very attractive with a mix of Broderie Anglaise and Ayrshire embroidery.
Further detail of embroidery is added to the waist line and border of the hem. The border hem is astounding of sprigs with round balls (possibly a berry). The style is typical of the period with a scoop neckline and short cap sleeves with a point laying back over the shoulder.
