Cases, bags and boxes were a Victorian or Edwardian lady’s necessity for storing items, such as gloves. Here’s a natural linen glove bag or case, hand embroidered with a circle of pink flowers on the front of the case. The word “GLOVES” embroidered on the fold over flap. Button hole stitch outlines the scallop edge of the flap. All embroidery is done in silk thread.
