A wonderful early 1900’s, Victorian, Edwardian sewing kit Etui box. Made by the Boots Fancy Dep,, British Manufacturer. The case is a wood with a maroon grained leatherette covering on the outside. Push brass button opens and closes the case.
The gorgeous inside is covered in pleated satin and plush velvet in a maroon color. The same maroon color is used for a cord trim edging the fabric. Velvet loops for securing the sewing implements on the bottom. A ribbon band secures two packets of needles and a pin keep in the lid.
The contents of the case consist four mother of pearl handle tools, including a pocket knife, with one slide out blade, a tweezers, button hook (or possibly a crochet hook, and an awl. All handles are beautifully carved with the lower portion a metal.
