Victorian Sewing Shoe Wall Pocket Holder Wool Berlin Embroidery 19th Century

Here’s a wonderful Victorian wall pocket, shaped in a shoe.  Hand made this Victorian article suggest it was made in the latter half of the 19th Century.  Probably about 1870’s to 1880’s.   It is a cardboard form covered with plush velvet fabric then embellished with Berlin work embroidered in wool thread.  Tied with a green silk ribbon with loop at the top for hanging on the wall.  Perhaps it held sewing tools or other small items.  This neat piece was found in Ohio.
