Here is a very sweet and colorful Depression era quilt summer bedspread dated 1924. Each of the 42 patchwork blocks are embroidered with floral, flower baskets, one Christmas holly, one butterfly and a signed square to Hattie from Mother 1924.
Each 7-1/2″ muslin block is hand stitched to green fabric sashing. Backing is muslin with the edges of the spread finished in blanket stitch. Each of the four corners are mitired stitch. The green border all the way around the edge is 8-1/2″ wide. Overall size is 87-1/2″ long x 76-1/2″ wide.
