Home sewn on a treadle sewing machine a vintage 1920’s, or late teens, nightgown. Made of white cotton seersucker or crinkle cloth fabric, a hand crochet filet yoke is added to the top of gown. The hem line is finished with hand crochet filet lace, too.
A deep tuck is sewn near the hem line which adds nice detailing to the fabric. Ribbon or braid could be added to the neck line of the yoke to adjust the fit.
Very clean and nice condition. Not only could it be worn for a summer nightgown, it would be cute for a summer shift or even worn for a pool party.
