A sweet home made sock cloth clown doll toy. This 7″ tall clown is from the 1940’s, perhaps 1950’s. The costume is made of a cotton fabric of red dots on white. The face is partially embroidered, with eyes and nose a felt dot.
Red ruffle organdy collar trimmed with white rick rack. Red yarn pom poms form his arms and top the finishing touch of his pointed cap. Tied black yarn also accents the pointed cap. Filled with beans, he stands his ground.
