Hand-painted lacquer boxes like this were produced across Russia and neighboring Eastern European regions during the 1970s–80s. This vibrant hand-painted lacquer box is a lovely example of the Eastern European folk-art styles that gained popularity during the 1970s and 1980s. Crafted in a classic round form with a gently domed lid, it measures approximately 5 inches in diameter and 1¾ inches tall, offering a graceful and practical size for small keepsakes.

The box is finished in deep, glossy black lacquer, both inside and out. The lid is decorated with bold red blossoms and sweeping green leaves, executed in expressive single-stroke brushwork typical of Russian and Eastern European folk painting traditions. The floral design has wonderful movement and color saturation—more refined and balanced than many later tourist pieces—giving this example distinct charm and decorative appeal.

Dating from the Victorian to Edwardian era, our ancestors created lovely needlework during this time period. One of those treats were embroidered pictures frames.

This particular cloth frame is embroidered with a scattering of violets surrounding the heart shaped opening.  A photo of a sweet girl is centered in the heart opening.  Glass covers the photo.

The rectangle hard frame is covered in a fine weave linen.  This is attached to the hard pressed cardboard board backing, then looks to be glued to the front.  A wire easel is attached to the backing.

Size is 10″ high x 8″ wide.

Condition:  The frame does show age soiling and spotting.

The embroidery is done on a muslin fabric. Opening at the bottom for inserting a pillow.

Case measures 13-1/2″ x 16″.

Condition is very nice, suggesting it has never been used.

A delightful decorator touch for your home. This toss throw pillow cover from the vintage years of the 1920’s or 1930’s is embroidered with an Asian theme.

The cover features a tree, bridge and water. The path is dotted with colorful florals and a butterfly fluttering overhead.

The entire piece is framed with stitched embroidery. Fabric of the cover is an off white creamy color. The edge is decorated with hand crochet lace in a scallop design.

Opening at the bottom of the cover is 14-1/2″ wide for inserting a pillow form.

Overall size is 15″ x 16″ including the crochet trim edging. Very clean, ready to use.

An early 1900’s hand crocheted door, doorway, entrance way portiere or window treatment. The pattern of the crochet is a block form with a single flower motif in an off white cotton thread.

It is a heavier weight with a substantial look for hanging. A striking decorator statement that will give an area of your home that vintage decorator look.

This crochet fancy work appears to be in unused condition and never laundered.

Here’s the measurements:
From one side to the other, across the top, it is 56″ long x 11″ wide. It is made of graduated strips, with two tassels on the end.
The two longest strips are 44″long, from top to bottom. Not including the 4″ tassels.
The next length is 33″ long, from top to bottom, not including the tassel.
Third strip in, is 23″ long from top to bottom, not including tassels.
The shortest is 15″ long, top to bottom. Again, not including the tassels.
Each strip is 4″ in width.

Condition: As stated, I doubt it has ever been used. I did notice an area with a couple of oxidation spots from storage. (see photo).

The pillow top has been stored away for many years and still in very nice condition. I noticed only a couple of tiny spots. Of course, there are fold marks where it has been folded. The old backing material is also included with the top to make into a pillow.

Size of the top is 23″ square. A fun pillow for a charming cottage, rustic or country look. Or if a pillow is not your thing ~ think of framing.

This is definitely an unused antique textile treasure.

This antique is 2-1/2″ tall, at the front of the scoop. 2″ tall at center back. 4″ long from the back edge to the front edge of the scoop. 2″ diameter across the round base. Original wire bail.

Condition of the red flashing is good as sometimes there are scratch marks. At the top edge of the scoop area, a small chip on either corner and around the back curve some roughness of the edge. I am incline to think this roughness is just in the manufacture.
