Description
An elegant pair of early 20th-century French kid leather gloves, beautifully preserved and still tied together with their original string. Soft in tone and refined in workmanship, they evoke the timeless grace of Parisian fashion from the 1920s era.
A pair of vintage off-white French kid leather gloves, stamped Made in France, dating from the 1920s (possibly edging into the 1930s). These gloves are mid-length and exquisitely made, cut from fine, supple kid leather with a soft natural sheen.
A charming and distinctive detail is found at the cuff — the interior is lined in smooth brown leather, with a narrow edge turned outward to form a decorative binding. This subtle contrast trim gives the pair an understated, tailored elegance so typical of French accessories of the period.
Unworn and still tied together with their original string, the gloves would be lovely displayed with vintage fashions or as part of a period costume ensemble. The interior bears the printed size marking 6, though as often the case with early gloves, they are small and more suited to display than wear today.
Condition: Although new old stock, gentle age has brought faint storage marks and minor imperfections consistent with time.
Measurements:
• Length – 11½ inches
• Width across palm – 2¾ inches
A fine, untouched pair for the collector or fashion historian — delicate, refined, and unmistakably French.
