Dating from the early 1900’s ~ Edwardian era, a pair of children leather glove in a Christmas gift box.
Color of the gloves are a caramel color with black stitching. Single button fastens the back of glove. Although some markings appear on the inside of one of the gloves, it is faint to read, except for a letter “G”. The pair were found in a paper covered Christmas box perhaps given as a gift long ago.
Condition of the pair are very nice although have been gently worn
Measurements: 7-1/2″ long from the fingers to the top edge of glove. 3″ across the palm. 5″ circumference around the open edge of glove.
THE BOX – The lid of the cardboard box is of Christmas paper in a poinsettia motif.
Condition of the paper: A few scuffs and a small amount of paper loss on the two long sides of the lid. For the age, the box is very presentable.
Measurements of the box: 6-1/2″ long x 3-3/8″ wide x 1″ tall.
A lovely addition to a children’s vintage clothing / accessories collection or a collection of early 1900’s Christmas boxes.
