From an era when women often slipped a small delicate handkerchief into the pocket of their dress or jacket, this charming piece would have been the perfect accessory to showcase refinement and style.
The fabric of the handkerchief is a silk chiffon edged in a tulle netting. The ecru color of the pretty edging is also a striking balance to the soft green of the chiffon. Smaller in scale, it was just the right size to peek neatly from a dress pocket, a fashionable and graceful touch of the 1920s, 1930’s and 1940’s.
Size is 8″ square. Condition is nice. I believe never being used.
