Description
A sweet vintage 1920’s or early 1930’s little girl’s dress. Made of a batiste cotton (slightly sheer), the dress is rather a simple style. Made with raglan sleeves and only side seams, the dress slipped over the head with a loose A shape fit. The neck line, with a tiny scallop edging, is accented with a yoke of embroidery of small flowers and lace trimming. The edge of the short sleeves are also trimmed in lace. At the edge of each sleeve, two eyelets for tying a ribbon for a decorated accent. Deeper scallop hemline with lace trim. Hem line on the front is also accented with a bit of embroidery. No fastening at the back. Probably pinned close.
Length from the neck line to the hem is 18″ long. The dress has raglan sleeve. No shoulder or armhole seams so guessing about 9″ across the shoulder. Perhaps a tad more.
Condition: The dress has been worn and with repeated washings the blue thread used for the embroidered flowers has faded to almost a white. It does have one mended area in the back near the hem .
