Description
Here’s a wonderful wash stand towel from the Victorian era. Made of a finely patterned damask, the towel features a 1-1/2″ border of drawnwork and tenerife lace. Centered above a fancy triple monogram, I believe to be M S F.
Below the drawnwork is a row of hemstitching. A row of hemstitching also appears on the other end of towel. An impressive antique piece of needlework to show on a old wash stand or other decorating.
Size is 43″ long x 27″ wide.
Condition is very nice. Not recently laundered but clean.
