Description
A wonderful fur doll cape and matching hat. Dating from the vintage years of the late teens or 1920’s, this matching ensemble is home sewn, Made of real black fur and a pretty flowered fabric for the lining. Possibly a silk or blend of rayon silk. The cape is made in a long piece with black silk ribbon ties for securing around the neck. The pretty flower material is used for the top crown of hat and inside lining of hat and cape. A band of the black fur makes a nice embellishment to define this cute ensemble.
Size measurement: Cape is 14-1/2″ long x 6″ wide. When tied around the neck of a doll it would be about 6″ across, from shoulder to shoulder. The hat is 10-1/2″ around the inside opening. Height is 4″ to 4-1/2″ deep. Probably fitting a doll’s head about the size of a small orange.
Condition: It appears never have been played with. In other words, nice condition.
