Description
A Victorian early American pressed glass (EAPG) toy butter dish in the Tappan pattern. I believe this piece to be made by the McKee Glass company from the late 1880’s time period.
It is a clear glass in a pressed block and button style consisting of the lid and base. A finial at the top of the lid makes this piece even more charming. What little girl wouldn’t have wanted to bring her dolls to the table for pretend play.
The lid and base together are 3″ tall. Diameter of base is 3-3/4″ wide . The base is 1″ deep. The lid, itself is 2″ tall from bottom to top.
Condition: I did find one small no show nick on the inside ring of the lid. It does not show when the two pieces are together nor from the outside at all.
