Lovely Victorian Edwardian Tenerife and Drawnwork Lace Linen Oval Doily
I am sure you will agree, this is a lovely doily. Dating from the later Victorian or Edwardian era the doily combines Tenerife lace trims the linen doily. A rectangular drawnwork center forms the intermost part of the doily.
The doily measures 18-1/2″ long x 11″ wide. The condition is clean, however, I did find just a small spot of oxidation of the outside edge.
If you will notice the last photo of the drawnwork there is a short pull at the upper left corner. I believe this was a flaw of pulling of the thread when making the doily.
