A lovely Victorian doily in the form of tape lace. The tape is manipulated into shapes resembling leaves at the outside edges with a floral rosette at the center. The open areas are filled using various needle lace or filling stitches. This technique is often referred to as mix or Renaissance lace. A soft scallop edge further enhances this turn of the century table doily. Size is 5″ in diameter.
