Description
Oh so pretty, a 1900’s, Edwardian hand styled flat trim embellishment for costuming, dressmaking, millinery or even to accent a sash or belt. Purely from imagination, the straight braid was manipulated to fashion the loops and curlicues into an artistic form. Each motif stitched together to hold its shape.
The two motifs on either end did have a lace inset at the center. However, the lace was badly damage with only a trace remaining. Even so with or without the lace, I don’t feel a factor in the overall design.
Length of the piece from one end to the other is 10-1/2″ long. On either of the end pieces the width is 3-1/2″ wide. The width of the middle one is 2-1/2″ wide.
Colors are a black and tan.
May your inspiration be abounds.
