Description
For your inspiration, a remnant black lace dress bodice and sleeves for your next imaginative project. Pieces and parts to create something new from old, the parts consist of a bodice, mostly of the front and a pair of sleeves.
The motif style is in a larger bolder repeat lace pattern of trumpet vases and flowers , A lovely scallop trim at the bottom edge. With the bodice are a pair of sleeves repeating this same pattern. This very attractive design probably dates from the teen years of the 1900’s to perhaps very early 1920’s.
As noted from the photos, this is a remnant. Even though the condition of the lace is relatively good, there are cuts and some holes.
Here’s the measurements: Bodice center front 19″ long from top to hem. Neckline at the shoulder is 24″ long to the scallop edge at the bottom. Side to side, which includes both the front and back pieces is 47″ wide.
Sleeves: Approx 15″ long but one is a tad shorter. Width is approx 8″ wide. Decent but not perfect.
As noted: The motif pattern style is a bolder trumpet shape with larger flowers . Each motif is about 24″ long. Width is 7″ wide.
